What Mencon doesn't like about Khyber:
The food lacked flavor and the staff did not inquire about our satisfaction. We were very disappointed with the service and quality, especially from an Indian restaurant. We expected better. View all feedback.
We decided to dine at this restaurant to celebrate my father's birthday. When we made the reservation, the customer service was excellent, as they inquired about the special occasion. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted and the staff wished my father a happy birthday. We were then escorted to our table which was adorned with birthday balloons. The food and service throughout the evening were outstanding. To cap off the meal, my father was surprised with a birthday cake and received a round of applause from the staff. This unexpected gesture, along with the balloons, truly made my father's evening. He was beaming throughout the meal and on our way home. I highly recommend the exceptional food at this restaurant. I am extremely grateful to the staff for their attention to detail and for transforming what would have been an ordinary birthday celebration into a memorable one. We are already planning a return visit to this wonderful establishment.
I popped in for a takeaway tonight after dropping the wife off for a night out. I haven't been in the Khyber for several years and had forgotten how good it was . I ordered a lamb dopiaza and pilau rice and wasn't disappointed with my choice. I only waited 10 minutes for it. The staff were friendly and helpful and I was soon on my way. The curry was one of the best I'd tasted for a long time. Nice chunks of tender lamb and lots of it in a lovely sauce, with a generous portion of rice. They're doing a sit in deal at the moment, Sunday to Thursday, so I'll be going back soon. Well done Khyber

I visited the highly debated Khyber on Saturday night, the oldest Indian restaurant in Wiltshire. It is a large establishment, and the first thing that caught my attention was how clean the place was. The Halim soup as a starter was one of the best I have ever had - it was full of tender lamb infused with lemon, garlic, lentils, and other amazing ingredients. The chicken Ceylon was topped with pure coconut powder, giving it a true coconut flavor that reminded me of Ceylon. The quality of the chicken was average, but the lack of sauce in the main curry dishes made the food a bit dry. The burnt naan bread served with the soup was disappointing and could have been avoided with better quality control. The waitstaff, while friendly, seemed to be constantly pacing back and forth, which was a bit off-putting. Despite these flaws, I would definitely consider returning to Khyber for the amazing flavors. - Mr. Curry
