This quaint tea and coffee room at the back of the Brissi shop on top of Milsom Street is a hidden gem. The charming Italian young lady who manages it was welcoming and engaging on a chilly March day, and the delicious cakes truly brightened our spirits. Thank you, Maria! Goodbye.
The restaurant had a peaceful and charming atmosphere, and the cake was soft, moist, and flavorful. They offer a great deal of coffee and cake for £5, which I took advantage of. My only recommendation is to provide more options for allergy-free milk, as they currently only offer Soy and Almond. It would be great if they could also offer Oat Milk. The courtyard is lovely with a cozy atmosphere, as it is covered and they provide nice blankets too.
We spotted the signs for this lovely cafe as we walked along Milsom Street. The cafe, Burano, is at the rear of the shop Brissi and is worth finding. Super latte and a tasty cake in a lovely heated courtyard, inside seating was also available. All topped by a warm welcome and friendly service. Thanks.
Nestled behind the Brissi home store, this delightful café offers cozy indoor seating as well as a picturesque covered terrace with heating. Located near The Ivy on Milsom Street, we sampled both coffee and hot chocolate. While the coffee was delightful, the hot chocolate stole the show - thick, creamy, and reminiscent of a hot chocolate blancmange. The friendly server took pride in her café, and for good reason, as the homemade cakes and pastries were tempting. We discovered that the hot chocolate is a traditional Italian recipe. If you find yourself in Bath, be sure to visit this café and experience the decadent hot chocolate for yourself.
You might miss Burano Cafe unless you venture into the rather lovely Brissi home-store on Milsom Street. They've turned the space at the back into a very pretty courtyard cafe, with excellent cakes and pastries, and probably the best coffee in Bath. Oh, and the service is charming too. Recommended.
