Kroger Bakery - Feedback
Reviews
Was Jacquelyn McGlinchey at Kroger Bakery a mag?
I really love their produce section—it's fantastic! I'm consistently impressed by it. Just two nights before Thanksgiving, they came through for me by having sweet potatoes, broccoli, dark brown sugar, and even a sale on nuts. What a lifesaver! View all feedback.
What Eduardo H dislikes about Kroger Bakery:
I have been shopping at this Kroger for years, but the attitude and rudeness of the staff have become so overwhelming that I now avoid this store. In the past, we used to spend around $250 weekly on groceries here, but now our monthly spending is under $100. View all feedback.

I've been shopping at this Kroger for years, and I have to say, it's really gone downhill. The employees are incredibly rude, especially in the pharmacy. When I went to pick up a prescription for my husband last Saturday, two employees shouted at me to stay far away from the counter. I was already standing six feet back. They should have a sign if that's the policy, instead of yelling at customers. This is really disappointing, especially for the manager at Kroger Swartz Creek. We've decided to transfer all our prescriptions to Rite Aid, and I won't set foot in a Kroger again. It's frustrating. You would think with all the money Kroger spent acquiring Albertson's, they would be improving their stores. Instead, it seems they're just focused on price-gouging their customers. And by the way, if I'm spending over $300 on groceries, I do not expect to have to bag them myself.
The bananas were unripe and not to my liking. They had also run out of the items that I had intended to use my digital coupon for.

Watch you receipts and make sure you read the buy 5 get 5 off. they have other sales that don't count forth buy 5 but you might think they do. so in the end you don't get your 5 off.
The pharmacy constantly has a long line and they take about 15-20 mins per person waiting.

The bottle return system is frequently a hassle and often doesn't function properly.

I couldn’t help but admire the beautiful red-haired girl working there today; she really caught my attention!
A guy was peeing in the produce cases inside the store the other day.
Everything is very well-mannered

They've recently added several self-service stations, which I find unnecessary since I’m not an employee. Normally, there are multiple cashiers available, but this morning I had to wait for one to open up. It seems there aren’t any cashiers before 8 a.m. On a positive note, it looks like they’ve fixed the shopping carts; I’m not sure if they still have brakes, but I haven’t encountered any issues with them lately.
Today, I went in to get my groceries, and as I was leaving, I made it halfway through the crosswalk in the parking lot when the wheels suddenly locked up. I was stuck either leaving my cart in the middle of the crosswalk, with the sun beating down on my groceries, or dragging the cart all the way to my car. How convenient! I understand they want to prevent theft, but all they've done is create a hassle for every customer who needs to use the carts. I’m done with these broken carts; if I need one in the future, I won’t be coming back here. It's a pity because I really do like this place.
1. The cashiers are consistently rude. 2. I wrote a check for my groceries, but it was rejected by their new system. I have plenty of money in my savings account, so I don't understand why it was declined. When I asked the cashier about it, she rudely suggested I speak to the manager. 3. They often discontinue items I regularly buy. 4. The store shelves are constantly being rearranged. 5. The quality of their produce is very poor. 6. Their prices have skyrocketed. I've calculated that I spend over $16,000 a year on groceries there, and given how I've been treated, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. Meijer offers a lot of the items I need and has truly earned my patronage. Goodbye, Kroger!
They have such friendly staff. Great prices. the organic and gluten free selections are better than Meijers
