I was excited to enjoy some classic fish and chips by the water, but unfortunately my family and I left disappointed. Not only did we receive the wrong order, which we discovered when we arrived at the park, but the chips were undercooked and tasted overly oily. The fish was rubbery and not enjoyable. Initially a nostalgic experience reliving the way fish n chips were done in the good old days wrapped in butchers paper and thick cut chips that has been partially cooked before deep frying) but the very poor quality oil made for very upset stomachs. I traveled a long way just for lunch, and I couldn't have asked for a better burger anywhere. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The meal was for lunch, and the price per person was between A$20-40. The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated 5 stars.
This fish and chip shop is excellent. The owner is a kind and diligent person who truly cares about his work. The coconut whiting was delicious. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saltys seafood takeaway in Swansea, and it was truly a delightful experience! The seafood was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. I highly recommend Saltys to all seafood enthusiasts out there. Do yourself a favor and visit Saltys for some of the finest seafood in town. You won't be disappointed!
