It's not just about the delicious and consistent food, but also the warm memories it brings. While visiting Newcastle for a few days in the winter, I found comfort in this restaurant and it will definitely be a place I will return to. The staff were energetic, patient, and welcoming, always serving with a smile. Among the menu items I tried, the curry omu rice was a standout. I was grateful to dine with a kind family I had just met, who made me feel less lonely as a newcomer in the area. Asadon was truly a welcoming oasis in a place where everything seemed to close early. For those looking to experience authentic Japanese home cooking served by friendly staff, I highly recommend Asadon. Just make sure to call ahead to check for available seating or takeout, as this place tends to be popular.
