Social Pizzeria - Swannanoa

Hubby makes amazing homemade pizza to home, so it is not often that we order exuberant pizza. after a long day on the lake we were hungry and needed a bit fast and decided on social pizzeria - we were already before, but it was almost a year. we have ordered a large pick-your-own-toppings pizza, and were amazed to hear that all pizzas buy, get a free-whaaa?! Apparently, this is a special one that they run 365 days a year. So we ended up with 2 big pizzas for $16- pretty much. a pizza w/ ground sausage, paprika and mushrooms; the other with chicken, spinat and tomaten. the crust was delicious, but as another evaluation mentioned, I would ask you to bake it next time longer/crispier - a bit chew for our personal preference. also the spinach on the chicken pizza kindly dried when you were baked and crispy - maybe it should be better mixed with the sauce/cheese instead of one of the last dings placed on the pizza. otherwise everything was delicious, the toppings were fresh, and we definitely have the extra pizza for the remaining meal times.

The crust is great and heavy handed on toppings...the Social Pizzeria is the best pie you can get in Swannanoa! Owned by the same folks as the SOCIAL in East Asheville and they sure do make a terrific take-out/delivery pizza. Nowhere to sit unless you are waiting for a pick-up but if you live nearby or don't mind reheating the pie when you get home this place is a home run! I suggest ordering it crispy unless you plan to re-heat at home anyway...the dough was just a touch to chewy for my taste but all things considered it didn't matter since the sauce to cheese to toppings ratio were on point! If you are looking for a great pie in the area...I suggest calling one(or a few) in and swinging by to pick one up the next time you are craving pizza and passing through Swannanoa. They also deliver if you happen to live within a close proximity to the business. Don't take my word for it. Call them up and order a pie...I promise you will be glad you did!

My favorite near me. Love that they deliver to my apartment. Today I tried the mac and cheese bites. They were so delicious. nice and crunchy on the outside and creamy mac and cheese on the inside. They were shaped like logs instead of balls, I like that about them too. I also had pizza which is always great all the time. And for buy one get one free who can beat it. What a deal! I really need to try more items from their menu

This place is so great, such a hidden gem. With like an almost secret menu. I really find it's a great idea to ask about the interesting things they create there. I've never had a bad eating or experience here. Give this place a shot and you most defiantly will not be disappointed.

So we're camping at Mama Gertie's up the road, in rolls TS Nate and cancels my campfire steak dinner...who do you call? Have no fear, The Social Pizzeria comes through in a pinch. Ordered takeout online, picked up 25 minutes later. My receipt said order ready in 20 mins but it's raining cats and dogs and I got pizza quicker than I could build a fire and cook a steak in torrential rain, be happy. The Beer Cheese Philly Steak and The Warhorse (all-meat) are winners! Also, yelp is a bit outdated with info/website. Find them here...http thesocialpizza.com/menu.html.
