Want a good birthday cake? Then grab something here! Cakes are to die for - not cheap but for what they are you can't go wrong. Coffee, macaroons & croissants are also damn good. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Choux Cafe:
Until recently I visited Choux up to three times a week. In the last few weeks I was "served" by a new employee who is simply arrogant and rude, and I'm not the only one who noticed. I... never had bad service in Choux and loved to get my morning coffee in this beautiful little cafe, but no desire to get with the new madly confronted girl behind the counter that has now not only ruined my morning, but now one of my f... So good to see such an excellent quality French café nestled in amongst the suburbs. We enjoyed a beautiful tomato, cream, and pesto filo tart for lunch. Yum.
We only stopped in for a chocolate eclair but this place is clearly very good and we will return for lunch sometime. Charming little cafe.
You know that feeling when you've returned from holiday somewhere and you want to relive just a little of it by finding the food you enjoyed there? Well, if you've just returned from France and you are yearning for a baguette, a macaron or a croissant then make your way to Choux Cafe in Swanbourne. The plain croissants are probably the best I've had anywhere, including France. And they are huge. The cafe opens super early every day and if you live nearby the smell of croissants baking in the morning is irresistible. The cafe has seating outside, inside the door and in a courtyard cafe. This is a great place for your morning coffee (and croissant) and lunch and is super popular with all the locals. Oh, and they do AMAZING cakes for all matter of celebration.
Today's review comes from beautiful Western Australia. Christine, a brave and determined resident of sunny Perth, visited three different patisseries in search of éclairs. She was supported by her husband, Jason, and daughters, Isobel and Abigail, on this courageous adventure. A big shoutout to Team WA! Here is her experience...
Definitely try the croissants at this restaurant, but stay away from the coffee at all costs. I always opt for the croissants here. They are flaky, crunchy, and delicious. Perfect for a snack after a day of surfing. Take them home, add some butter and jam, and you'll feel like you're in heaven.
