Harps Inn
Description
The Harp's Inn offers a varied menu with excellent food and attentive service. While some reviewers note issues with social distancing and limited ale selection, the knowledgeable chefs are accommodating to dietary requirements. Meals are well-portioned and appetizing. The liver and bacon dish receives high praise. The spacious interior and well-maintained garden provide ample seating options. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Despite slow service and lack of televised sports, the overall dining experience is positive, making The Harp's Inn a recommended choice for a satisfying meal.

Great service from the young serving staff, who had very good knowledge of the menu we had one of our party who is gluten free. Menu choices were good, and the food was great just what we needed after the 10k Island Run that morning. Prices were very reasonable at £20.95 for 2 courses, or £24.95 for 3. The gluten free main was served on a different style of plate, with their gravy on the side, in it 's own boat. Would happily return, and highly recommend.
Food was so dry. Had a burger, now normally the burger would be same size as the bun, nope. Bun was bigger, had gherkins , onions and cheese. The gherkins were like bullets, not slices but whole, cheese was a pre packed slice type, the whole experience was dryer than the Sahara, even adding sauce made no difference.
We had Sunday lunch here recently. There were 4 adults, 1 teenager and a 6 year old. So a mixed bunch. Some had the roast beef, also pizza's, chilli con carne and chicken salad. The service was great, waiting staff polite and friendly. Food was served when we needed it. All our meals were nicely cooked and presented. Good quality food. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the visit. Would recommend this place. We had booked a table and it was starting to get busy. So might be best to book if Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
Superb food and service. Sirloin steak, cooked to perfection. Omelette that was huge. So many chips and fries we couldn’t eat them all. Food came quickly and service was faultless. Would recommend to anyone.
I was surprised how busy this place was for a Monday lunch-time and clearly popular with locals out for a lunch. The menu exceeded all the popular pub grub comforts and portions were a good helping. The bloomer sandwiches looked great, stacked high, as they should be! The star of the show was the waitress. During a very busy lunch-time service her customer service was welcoming and attentive despite being rushed off her feet. She was exceptionally organised worked at lightening speed. I was pleasantly surprised dining here for lunch and I would return.
