Keyasham - Sutton

Thank you to Keyasham for hosting my friends and I for a tasty, filling and completely vegan dinner! The restaurant catered to all our requirements and we had a wonderful time. See you soon!

I made a reservation for a large meal through the restaurant's website and paid in advance. Unfortunately, the meal did not arrive at the expected time. Since the restaurant was nearby, I decided to visit it in person, only to discover that it had changed its name and was closed until further notice. I was able to order food from a different Indian restaurant, but we ended up eating late. Although I eventually received a refund, it took 3 days to process. It would have been helpful if the restaurant had put up a notice on their website or cancelled the ordering process to avoid confusion.

I'm not sure what's going on with this place, but it is now called Spice Lounge. My friends and I went on a Saturday night and we were the only table occupied. I can see why! My wife ordered the Flaming Seabass, which had good reviews, but what she received was some sort of fish stew. When she asked about it, they apologized and said they were out of Seabass. They then offered her another dish, but it was not what she had originally ordered. Some of the food was tasty, but they really need to improve their organization.

I ordered food online from this restaurant on a Saturday at 6:23pm. The estimated wait time was 45 minutes, which was fine with me. However, by 7:15pm, the food still hadn't arrived, even though I live less than two miles away. I called the restaurant and was informed that they had only received the order 5 minutes ago, and it would be at least another 25 minutes. The delivery eventually arrived at 7:45pm. I ordered a few starters, a main dish, and a rice dish. When the delivery driver arrived, he requested payment in cash, despite my having paid online. After a phone call to the restaurant to confirm, I was able to pay with the credit card I had used for the online order. The food was just okay, nothing exceptional. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience, especially considering the positive reviews I had heard beforehand.

We have eaten here a few times now and always get our takeaways from here, the food is great and is one of the better priced restaurants in the area, would deffo recommend.
