Despite the music being a bit loud this place will definitely make you smile after a long day at work! With colorful lamps, great music, wide variety of cocktails and free popcorn it's a bar not to miss! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tio's:
Waited half an hour at the bar with 2 people in front of us to score ordinary cocktails that tasted like curry from an uninspired bartender. There were plenty of ppl behind the bar but not taking orders which was really frustrating. There are so many good cocktail bars in the area that this experience means we won't be back. I have not dined at this restaurant, but the mezcal and tequila menu make it worth a visit. The staff are knowledgeable and quick to recommend drinks, but true mezcal enthusiasts will have no trouble selecting something to suit their palate. The Tex Mex decor may be a bit tacky, but it adds to the overall fun atmosphere.
Lovely space with a fantastic atmosphere and array of drinks. The friendly and personable bar man's knowledge of the various tequila and mezcal was so impressive and he got us trying things we ordinarily wouldn't, and we enjoyed all his recommendations. The food options were disappointingly sparse and quite average The corn chips oily and undersalted but the spiced popcorn that comes with the drinks is fantastic. This is a great place to come with a bunch of friends, get in early though as it gets packed quickly.
Why did the Mexican push his wife off the cliff?........Tequila! hahah get it?! <br/ <br/ If you are looking for a place with a relaxed vibe with staff to match, look no further. <br/ <br/ Tio's has all that and more..they used to serve free popcorn but now i hear they dont! nooooooooooooooooo <br/ <br/ $10 cocktails or Mexican beers whatever your fancy i'm sure they can mix you up something nice and spicy or sweet.<br/ <br/ It reminds me of a dive bar probably cause of the lighting but hey that is the charm. <br/ <br/ I try to go Thursday or Sunday nights as you can find a place to sit
We were due to meet friends for a wine/food degustation at Nomad which is a couple of doors down and as we arrived early we popped in to here for a pre dinner drink. A relaxed and friendly bar (was around 5.30pm on a Tuesday) and happy hour was on with $5 tequila cocktails (I chose El Diablo tequila, lime, ginger beer and hibiscus yum and a good way to start the night) Happy hour ran from 4 6 so my 2nd drink was at full price so I chose an El Roberto and that was just as tasty as the first. The complimentary savoury pop corn was a nice touch, staff were friendly, professional and personable and it was a very relaxed and friendly vibe that we enjoyed. Well worth a visit and a great hidden gem type bar in a quiet back water of Sydney
Very Mexican. Great interior, and even some pretty good beers beyond what is normally expected from such a place. Service is also pretty good.
