Just downstairs from our office, we love the convenience of Siorie's takeaway options. Dine-in is a bit pricey for what it is but delicious nonetheless.

What Abigail Kuhlman doesn't like about Siorie Japanese Restaurant:
Just up foveaux st in Surry Hills, I had been at lunch before and had a good food experience. This time I had to catch up with a friend, I decided to order the chicken Teriyaki Bento box with Miso soup, salad, rice, gyoza and chicken teriyaki and salmon sushi. The salmon Sushi was very fresh and melted in my mouth, and the Gyoza, which was cooked in a soy sauce, but the chicken Teriyaki was a bit overcooked and hard... View all feedback.
The place has recently changed its name. I hope that finally a decent place is within walking distance from my work. Grief The place is a flop. Grief Grief The food grade was very fad. The freshness of seafood agreed as a few pieces that are warm, safely disturbed. You can do dishes as nice as you like, but if the food is not fresh, stay immediately. Grief Grief New owners not. Only a gloomy place sparing from the closure.
Definitely one of my cheaper Japanese restaurants. Not because it is the blinfe or the busist, but because it is the most honest and humiliated little institution that I had the joy of eating in. Grief Food and service is always fantastic and are made even better of great value for money
Decent small Japanese restaurant on Foveaux St. Surry Hills. I got the Teriyaki Chicken Bento box that is stealing for $ 14. Generous part of the chicken with beautiful Chargrill taste on the salmon Aburi. Roasted Gyoza, salad, miso and rice.
We have been coming to Siorie for a few years now, it's not a special occasion kind of restaurant but more your mid week quick dinner venue. From the menu we tried various things such as sashimi combo, bento box or set menu. Sashimi was cut into tiny tiny pieces, katsu was crunchy and not too oily, the best was waygu beef. We never tried sushi rolls but looked pretty good from other tables. Every time we did BYO. Overall a very basic Japanese restaurant for a quick bite during the week. thernbdiary.com

The salmon Sushi was very fresh and melted in my mouth, and the Gyoza, which was cooked in a soy sauce, but the chicken Teriyaki was a bit overcooked and hard and burned on some areas as well as the salad dressing with an orange taste instead of the usual vinegar . We had Saki to accompany the food and a mixed sushi plate. The meal was very filled, but it was not as good as I remember that the seating are cramped a bit with the table.
