Apple's Thai Kitchen - Surry Hills

My tom kha was chock full of fresh ingredients - real pieces of lemon grass, kaffir lime leaf, galangal and coriander. And loads of fresh vegetables. I was in heaven. Such a great find!

Came here on a weeknight on the walk home from work, when we couldn't be bothered cooking dinner and didn't want anything too unhealthy. A third of the small restaurant was already filled and by the time we had placed an order almost ever table was filled - you can tell this is a safe, neighbourhood go-to! The food was decent and it was also served well - there's a homely vibe to the presentation and all the crisp, colourful veggies mixed with the aromas are great. We had the Garlic Beef & Chilli Beef stir-frys with the Chicken Fried Rice and an entree of chicken wings. Everything was good but the chicken wings were a little "eh" as I don't think the sauce served with them went well (my BF had the same opinion) - this could just be our tastes! Overall, standard prices for a decent and safe Thai meal! I took a menu for the fridge :)

I love this place mainly because it's delicious but not as upmarket as most restaurants in the area. The prices are very reasonable, service is friendly and the taste is definitely up there with most places of its kind.

I had such a great experience at Apple's. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was full of flavour as well. The satay sauce on the chicken satay sticks was so tasty and the sauce for the dumplings was amazing. The balance was perfect. One of the better Pad Thai's Iv'e had and my first time trying curry puffs, I'm a fan. I would go back here!

Fair price, good food and friendly service. Had the crispy pork green curry and husband the chicken red curry. Also the fish cake and pork dumplins were delish.
