I moved here 2 years ago and the first place we ate at was donegals. I have not ONCE, been disappointed with their food

This place is amazing! I went with a group of friends, and not only was our waitress, Tayla, incredible and honest but the food was terrific as well. I ordered the pulled pork Mac and cheese (I'll DEFINITELY be getting it again), and had a bit of an odd drink request for our server but she was enthusiastic and kind the whole time. At one point it got busy, and a friend's food hadn't come, but when we mentioned it she was honest about having forgotten and got it out to us on priority which is exactly the best way to handle it. The prices are great, and the food+service matched them. The outdoor area is also very nice, with some individual tables and benches as well as a few larger areas for big groups (and extra chairs, if needed). I highly reccomend coming here

Great food, awesome people in terms of service and food..Attention to detail to make this an actual Pub, they don't make them like this anymore.

You might prefer the outdoor patio if there's music or karaoke (it's loud), but thankfully they have an outdoor patio. Nice place, good food, solid happy hour specials.

The mussels with the sauce was great! A very good cook, I must say. Unfortunately, the service was poor. It took 20 minutes to get us gals drinks when there were barely any customers in the pub. It was a late Wednesday evening, June 28, 2023. The waitresses/bartender were wanting to go home, I believe and if that was the case, then they needed to inform us. However; they did take the time to serve us when they felt like it. Then the waitress turned the page, went to my table, spoke to my friends at the table while I was outside having a cigarette and falsely accused me of throwing up outside on their patio!!! I was very hurt, angry and upset and I couldn 't believe that she did that. I cursed at them for this. They were not very understanding of this and threatened to call the police. I am non-violent and no, I was not intoxicated at this establishment and was not out of sorts at all. I do not want to waste tax payers time with a wasted police attendance especially in the city of Surrey, Whalley area. I have been a customer there for on and off for years and never once had an issue. I tried to contact the manager, Daniel Cook and he didn 't respond; they don 't care. My advice: get take out and celebrate birthdays at home. It was the first time that I went out after COVID-19 celebrating my birthday and the waitress attempted to ruin my special day. I actually felt picked on for no apparent reason. Daniel Cook, manager didn 't bother to respond to my complaint. Shame on that restautant clique. Although, the live bands there are really good. Enjoy them live bands, Although, I personally will never go back there.
