Visited last night after eating terrible Mexican food elsewhere. We had the strawberry pancakes and a regular stack. Yum they were light and fresh definitely would go again View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pancakes on The Rocks:
Pancakes on the Rocks is always good for pancakes - favorite is the Devil's Delight which is chocolate pancakes. Having been to other locations, the service here was not as attentive as others, but it was okay. Most of the staff are rude with what seems minimal people skills. Long waits for everything including something as simple as a glass of water. Food is just okay. The mango smoothie was so bad I took one sip and didn’t touch it again. Extremely...outdated, unkept and unprofessional looking.
Visited here on separate occasions during our recent stay on Gold Coast. Food was delicious. We were a group of and had varying options from pancakes, drinks and main meals. Portion sizes are quite large. During our visits there was quite a line...up at the door waiting to be seated despite many tables available…. Apparently staff off due to COVID. In saying this, our order was taken and food delivered promptly once seated. Gluten free options available, which made my son happy that he didn’t have to miss out!
Went here twice during our two week holiday in Bigerra Waters Resort on the GOLD COAST. Clean premises and beautifully presented food. Between the of us we tried a variety of pancakes including gluten free options, which suited my Grandson. The only annoying part...was verysmall door to enter and the inevitable hold up due to rules surrounding Covid. MANY staff were (apparently) unable to work as they were waiting on Covid results. Once we got in and seated, service was smooth and food served in a timely manner.
The place is not safe and no Covid compliant, the staff was not putting the mask properly and when asked to do , so and starting shouting and becoming rude when she was asked to comply .
We waited to be seated, waited to be served, waited for our simple meals. Evening service with one waitress on deck. Banana pancake served with a sliced uncooked banana cut in half, ice-cream with no maple syrup. Apple pancake served with what tasted like butter...chunks in it, ice-cream and no syrup. Big TV’s all switched off usually pumping out music. No atmosphere at all. So disappointed. We have eaten here before more than times in previous years and have been so impressed. Not going back after this visit.
