Absolutely amazing! We ordered the Grandmakase Set menu, and it was delicious. At first, the portions looked small, but don't be fooled—there were plenty of dishes, and we were completely satisfied by the end of the meal. What User doesn't like about Yamagen Japanese:
I had high expectations for this place, but unfortunately, they weren't met. The service was the worst I've experienced at a Japanese restaurant. Despite it not being busy, everything took so long. To top it off, we ordered a dessert that took an additional 45 minutes to arrive. The atmosphere was nice, but that was the only highlight. Overall, I wouldn't recommend dining in here. Had the most amazing dinner here for our 20th Wedding Anniversary last night. Brilliant service all round and the most delicious food I think I’ve ever eaten. Will definitely be back!!!

It was that good that l went there two nights in a row. Both times l sat at the sushi counter and the food was delicious and the staff, wonderful. A truely Japanese experience . The only negative was that l was overcharged for a drink.
Best Japanese dining experience on the Gold Coast. The food and service is first class and never disappoints.
The new design and menu is phenomenal the selection of Japanese whisky's is huge and the sashimi taco's are a must try!
