Contribute FeedbackAlfresco restaurant in Surfers Paradise offers a mixed dining experience. While some patrons rave about the delicious Italian fare and warm service provided by Raff and his team, others complain of disorganized staff and slow service. The food is described as sensational, especially the pesto gnocchi and Veal Alfresco. The BYO policy keeps costs down for families, but some find the food prices a bit high for the quality. Overall, Alfresco seems to be a hit with those seeking authentic Italian cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. It is recommended for those looking to enjoy a hearty Italian meal in Surfers Paradise.
We were warmly welcomed by Raff who set the tone for excellent service from all of the staff. There are 2 sections which they try and fill in sequence. If you are early there is therefore a choice between noisy packed or less busy and quiet in the alternative section. The food is standard Italian pizza and pasta fare, which arrives quickly after ordering. It's BYO too which is good as it keeps the cost down for families groups, although the wines aren't too expensive. The food prices are probably a bit high for the standard offered, however, the pasta mains were generous helpings.
Service was very slow.Took 30mins for drinks to be brought out even then the order was wrong. The food was luke warm when brought out staff were very disorganized.
I loved the food, atmosphere was great, I had an Italian background and her food was so original that you could get, I felt like I was in Italy. The staff was very friendly. Would definitely go back!
This is an excellent restaurant, excellent food to really good value. Service was a little slow, but wine was excellent value for Barbera D’Asti at $38 bargains????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Great location, fast service, friendly staff. Always eat fresh and delicious. And BYO ..
