A flat white should not be available to order from establishments who do not know what it is. Simply being served a latte is not acceptable. Terrible and a complete waste of time, the drink should be 5oz in size not like drinking a pint of milk

My partner and I had a 6:30 pm reservation but unfortunately we arrived a little early and were left standing in the rain while the restaurant briefed their staff. I did think this was a little unusual and another customer was very upset, we didn’t mind too much and popped to the pub next door for 8 mins... We had the 3 courses £68 menu. I have to say I thought the starter options were lacking a little, particularly for someone who doesn’t eat meat or fish. I went for the chilled soup as this is the only thing that appealed to me and it was a bit hit and miss. We were offered fresh bread which was lovely but felt rationed. The mains and deserts were absolutely incredible in taste though were teeeny tiny portions which of course is expected but I personally think it’s extremely expensive for what it is. We also had a side of carrots which were pretty basic and actually a little too al dente in my opinion. The atmosphere is a little too serious and uptight some of the servers were very intense, I think they need to work on the ambience. Also only 1 loo for the upstairs guests? The food is lovely but personally I wouldn’t return. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

We have visited The French Table before and, it did not disappoint when we were a group of five at lunchtime last Thursday. The food was outstanding as well as the ambience and lovely service. Thank you. PS we did however, feel the extra cover for the cheese, was too much.
