Unfortunately, they only brought one meal at first, and by the time I finished mine, they finally brought my friend's order. We had ordered Pork Chops, Chicken Breast, and Shrimp, but the only highlight was the Shrimp. My friend ordered a Bud Light, and when it arrived, the server mentioned it was the last one available. I ordered a Michelob Ultra, and he informed me that they only had one left of that as well. Overall, I wasn't impressed with this place. While the server was friendly, it was clear that the restaurant is not well-managed.

The hush puppies were delicious, and the crab dip was fantastic. The stuffed flounder was exquisite. I highly recommend this restaurant—I'm completely satisfied!

The staff managed the situation wonderfully and did everything they could to help us. The food was quite good. While there may be better places for gourmet cuisine, if that's what you're after, I recommend you go there. Our meals arrived quickly, hot, and well-prepared. I ordered the Mahj with a baked sweet potato, which was just right—nicely grilled and perfectly seasoned. My wife opted for the pork chops (she's not a fan of seafood). While they weren't the best she's ever had, they were still tasty. The kids' meals came out first and were very enjoyable. Overall, it's a solid choice—maybe a bit on the pricey side, but a good local option that left us feeling satisfied. One last note: as we were leaving, I apologized to the cashier for our noisy kids, and she reassured me, saying, "Don't worry about it; we've all been there. We're glad you stopped in and hope you enjoy Holden Beach." Now that's what I call great customer service. Thank you!

The reason for being less than five was first the service was so slow that our food arrived one hour and fifteen minutes into the meal. Yes the hush puppies were great but one can only endure so much of them. Second, when the kitchen runs out they are out for a reason so please don't hold up your guests by making them wait an hour for their apps

Very dated old jun... read more This restaurant may appeal to some people, it didn't appeal to my wife and I. First, the inside of the place is as the name indicates a barn. Very dated old junk hanging everywhere, poor lighting and frankly it smells like a damp storage room. The wait staff was good. Everything made it to the table on time. The menu is right out of the 1970s. Our grouper was not the best and had a strong odor indicating it was old. The baked potato was done properly, but I hate getting it wrapped in foil. All said and done it was a very mediocre meal.
