I visited the Maverick Sports Bar last night at Sunset Beach, and I was thoroughly impressed. The beer is excellent, and the food exceeds expectations. Wednesday nights are karaoke nights, hosted by Lisa Snow, who is incredibly talented. She has an extensive song selection and top-notch sound equipment. I absolutely love karaoke, and it’s rare to find a spot that has everything I enjoy. View all feedback.
What bill argo dislikes about Mavericks Pointe:
My son and I visited this restaurant recently. The bar area had about ten patrons, and there were three people sitting at one table. The waitress instructed us to choose a booth, but after that, she walked over to the side of the bar and didn’t come back. While she was busy texting on her phone, the owner was preparing drinks for other customers. We never received menus or had our drink order taken; she just stood th... View all feedback.
Meal Type: Lunch Price Range: $20–30 per person Recommended Dish: Shrimp Basket I had a delightful lunch at this restaurant! The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a midday break. I opted for the Shrimp Basket, which was highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, seasoned well, and served with a side that complemented the dish nicely. Overall, it was a satisfying meal at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a lunch treat!
I had a fantastic dining experience with a diverse menu that offers plenty of options for everyone. The service was exceptional, and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. I couldn't ask for more from a restaurant. I highly recommend Mavericks Point to both locals and weekend visitors alike.
We just enjoyed an amazing meal! We kicked things off with mozzarella sticks and boom boom shrimp. The shrimp were large, fresh, and crispy, paired with a perfectly spicy sauce. For dinner, our daughters had chicken tenders with fries and a grilled cheese, both of which they thoroughly enjoyed. The teriyaki wings were tangy, with crispy skin and tender chicken packed with meat. My burger was cooked exactly as I requested—medium rare and juicy. The house margarita was just right, and the Bahama Mama was delightful too. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun, and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. At one point, the entire place even started singing together—what a blast! Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The service was disappointing. The staff rarely checked on our table, and we had to wave someone down just to get more water. The buffalo wings were large but overly fatty and flabby, lacking the crispy texture we were hoping for. The French fries were mediocre; they needed to be cooked longer to improve their quality. The hamburgers were decent, but they seemed like they were sourced from Sam's or Costco, definitely not made in-house. We waited nearly 40 minutes for our food. Overall, I won’t be returning.
Last night, Wednesday, July 31, I dined with out-of-town family—seven adults in total. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The burgers did not provide good value for the price. Our orders were mixed up by our waitress, Hilda. If there’s something you don’t understand, please just ask! The French fries and sweet potato fries were terrible—limp and greasy. The only highlight was the cold beers. I’m sorry, but the owner really needs to improve things!
