While some rave about exceptional dishes like the Arancini and Squid Linguini Scampi, others express disappointment with overly salty meals and unwelcoming service. Frequent complaints include inconsistent food quality, from stale focaccia to cold coffee, and a perceived lack of attentiveness from staff. Despite the challenges, the inviting ambiance and a few standout options have drawn loyal customers back, hoping for a more consistent experience. For those seeking a pleasant evening, it’s worth considering the highs and lows before making a reservation.
A really interesting little place I surprised that there were so few people on a Saturday night, maybe we eat early... One of the drawbacks of the food early (before sunset and outside is the playground above the road where a child cried, piercingly, at the top of her lung for all the time (how can they do that without damaging her throat?
I went to Senso Unico on Tuesday night when it wasn't very busy. In the dining area there were about two or three more tables of patrons. Unfortunately there was only one server, but he did a great job and the service was enormous. For appetizers, my friends and I split the Arancini, the Burrata and ordered the truffle friars. Our order must have been mixed because we got meatballs instead of the fries, but they were good, so it doesn't matter. I got the mushroom Gnocchi with a Limoncello Mojito, and my friends got the salmon with red wine, Ravioli and the Bolognese. The food was from the world. We made the decision to stay for Dessert and I have the Tiramisu. I haven't had that good for 4 years. I could have had 20 of them. It was beautiful. My friends got the flourless chocolate cake, the banana gelato and the chocolate gelato. Everything was nice. Would come back.
Excellent dinner. Pasta special with linguins, lemon cream sauce and peas was excellent. Others had the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was very tasty. Arancini was a great appetizer. Service was top notch. Very efficient and polite.
Been mind trying this place for a while, so I finally gladly. Amazing food! we had the Arancini and Prosciutto focaccia. The Arancini was OUT this world! I wish there were more than three for a mission! Our dinners Spaghetti Vongole and Sausage Truffle Pasta were also amazing. Great place, owner was super friendly and welcoming. Come back soon!
Great food, one of the best spots in the sunny side, my favorite dish is the squid linguini scalpi pasta. The oysters are amazing and the owner is such a friendly person. For Dessert you should try the Gelato.
