This is a Lovely little Restaurant in Loch, which has slowly built up it's reputation since opening. Diana is the perfect host, and nothing is a problem to her. She is so friendly, and chats away to customers, which is so warm and welcoming. And the Food is always Fresh and amazing. The Burgers, and coffee is just right. The Hot Chilli Sauces are to die for. We are so lucky to have the Rustic Cacao in our local area.... View all feedback.

Admittedly we arrived with three hungry kids and the wee bit of stress normally associated with a family road trip, however the lack of service or even acknowledgement when we arrived was disgraceful! The girl doing coffees had her back to us and so naturally could not see us, but the owner stood there across the counter with eye contact and continued to dry dishes and look away even to continue to chat with the girl. After a couple of minutes waiting for some semblance of a response we walked out and tried across the road but had to come back here. The exact same thing happened, until I eventually asked about the 'please order at the counter' sign and if we indeed do order here it sit down etc... certainly not a welcoming start at all!The food was ok but extremely limited and we were hungry. Definitely NOT vegetarian friendly! We opted for prawn sandwiches (small) and a salmon salad (which turned out to be canned fish, canned corn, canned beetroot, what I think was canned potato salad and a few green leaves - for $12.50). The owner only emailed at us as we were leaving. Suffice to say we won't be back, which is shame because it's a lovely setting with nice homewares etc. in a super cute town. This place could be really great but only with fresh produce and a bit more focus on customers.
3rd time visiting, call in when with family from interstate to enjoy the hot chocolate. The older lady who works here makes it the best. Love the spices that naturally sweeten the drink. When visiting there's plenty of local produce to taste (pickled onions, honey, relishes, chili and peanut butter). Special mention to the chili sauces that are made there - accommodating all palates from very mild to extremely hot (the atomic death is particularly brutal).Haven't eaten here but prices are very reasonable, will be back again for a feed.
This was a second visit. The couple running it (and waitress) are really welcoming, there is always something to see and the food is a chilli lovers heaven.Try the 'Atomic Hamburger'....you won't be disappointed'. The chocolate 'milkshake' also pleased.Loch is definitely worth a small detour off the highway.
