Great service, great food, great place and fantastic value for money. not disappointed! amore has always been a favorite.
If you see a show in rich, this place is ideal. it is now above the dun cow pub and the empire is right next door. 5 of us went last night before we saw a show. eating was really good 2 courses...for £8,95 and really delicious. the wee was cheap and they had a good selection of cocktails at 2 for £10- but unfortunately we ran out of time to try them! the personal was really friendly and it has a nice feeling for it. it's a shame that it was so calm that I don't think people are aware of it!
Only had an amazing meal here, steak (amuse, perfectly cooked) and chips and ragu, bottle wein £39.90, the waitress who looked us (black and white striped) was so beautiful, really chatting, fun, so attentive, but not intrusive. eat amazing, prices fantastic, beautiful. atmosphere and right next to the empire for our show. perfect. highly recommended
Italian worst iw was started with not enough menus then very average main spaghetti bolognese was the worst iw ever had and had only a choice of 2 desert staff were nice, although
This restaurant has now moved to the Dun Cow in Sunderland, there were 5 of us dining there 02/02/19. It did not bode well when we arrived to be told that they were not awRe of our booking, despite us having booked on-line and had...an acknowledgment from them, which we showed them. No apology was offered but a sort of grading, we will see what we can do. After waiting 20 mins we were led to a table recently vacated by other diners, cutlery not yet set out for all of us and hastily put together. We were then told they would not be able to take our order until 8pm. At 8:20 we were still waiting to be asked what we would like drink, never mind what food we would like. Another table of guests, who arrived after us, were served with drinks before we were even asked what we wanted. By this time we had all decided not to bother with a starter as we would be there ‘til midnight at that rate. We eventually gave our orders of both drinks and a main course each. In the mean time the other guests who arrived after us were being served their main course. When our meals arrived, mine was cold and undercooked (Pollo Diablo), one my friends ordered a chilli dish, it had no chillis. The other meals were okay. However the meals were supposed to be accompanied with veg, as the meals were being delivered the waitress informed us that they had run out of veg. She then plonked 2 dishes of over cooked chips onto the table and said is that okay. No, it is not okay, when you know that what has been ordered is not available, you should ask the guests if they wish to change their order. Also, no-one came to our table to ask if the meal was okay, I wonder why.....??? Seriously, when we came to pay the bill, the price of my meal was removed as I was unable to eat it, the waitress said if we go again to see her and she will “sort something out”. We will not be going again, you should have sorted this out the first time, very poor service, mediocre meals and shoddy treatment. Avoid this place.
