I love the variety of food options at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and accommodating, especially to children. Tuesdays are designated as "kid evenings" where children eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. The restaurant also hosts special events that are enjoyable. What User doesn't like about East Bay Deli Summerville:
Two sandwiches were made incorrectly and it took 20 minutes to fix the mistake. I informed the manager that because I had to wait for the missing items, my sandwich was cold. She responded by saying that the sandwich was cold, but I felt that the temperature of the bread when I initially ate it was irrelevant. View all feedback.
Went ot east bay deli in Carnes Crossing. Ordered at 10:50am and got my to go order at 11:30am. People who had arrived after me had all left with their food. I did not even get an apology but just got the order handed to me. Not even a thank you for your order. I will not go back at lunch
Not worth the money. A salad and a grilled cheese w a bag of chips. $22.00 it wasn't anything special zacby salads way better for price.
Quick service good value. Very limited fountain drink selection...
1) I have been wanting to go to this deli ever since it opened and today finally got there. A big disappointment.2) The hot pastrami swiss i ordered was not hot, it was barely warm.There was cheese only on one half of it and the rye bread was very much stale, something that I guess would normally not be noticed, as most of their sandwiches are served toasted.3) The patty melt my dinner partner ordered was not much better.4). The pickle spears are good.I cannot see me ever returning there as the food was not good and the price for the portion size was high.As for the person the brought our sandwiches out….she just dropped it on the table and walked off. Not professional at all, and certainly not friendlyNow before anyone wants to jump and bite my head off, I worked with the public for 35 years (10 of it in a deli) so actually I do know what is expected and what should be done.
The sandwiches are great. I recommend The Citadel. Nice restaurant. Friendly staff. Plenty of seating for a family also.
