They are still fantastic made with fish. Anything I’ve ever had from here has been delicious.

Our plan for a quick drink to escape the sun turned into a few hours of fantastic hospitality from Chloe, our server. We enjoyed some of the cleanest mussels we've ever seen and tasted, while my wife indulged in delicious Fish and Chips. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience - we only wish we could stay longer. We would definitely return if we had the chance. Thank you.

When Covid broke out in March I was a pol... read more I live in Summerside in the summer. Had to do my self isolation. I am a fairly tough but good and honest Trip Advisor. When Covid broke out in March I was a policy advisor and enforcer for a billion dollar Canadian company talking with...Healthe authorities everyday. WE Have been to Deckhouse twice now in July so far this year. First time it was for some drinks and for sitting outside on the deck which has a good view of the water barring the marine building on the wharf to the west which blocks some of the view. They seem to be taking the Covid 19 health rules, I would have to rate as moderately serious here, which in other places on PEI can be quite slack because some locals think there isn 't any Covid on the island, I hear this everyday here) but that can change in a day. We observed one male attendant wipe down the table next to us right away when the people left, which was good, BUT I did not see any attention to wiping down the 4 chairs at the table with Covid disinfectant, which was BAD, and I mentioned it to my wife. If the manager reads this you should get on your staff right away as people notice everything you do to protect them, good or bad ,and make decisions these days to go back or avoid, plus some even report to the health authority, especially on restaurants non complying. I was glad to see some effort at disinfecting but the staff need to wipe down ALL the chairs right away too. This should be the main priority of every job in the place. If you see something being left out like chairs then you don 't enjoy the food so much and wonder about it. First time we ordered drinks only. I had the local brewery beer, sour beer, which is really good. My wife wanted a strawberry margarita since it was strawberry season. She didn 't enjoy the margarita at all and said it had no strawberries at all but was made from some kind of powder. The second time we went for lunch at about 2 PM on a weekday in late July. There was only one other couple at a table on the deck and I didn 't notice any covid mistakes this time. I just had the Clubhouse and my wife had mussels and some yam fries with dip. She said the food was perfect, and she knows good mussels, and she ordered a Caesar drink which she had no complaints about this time. The Clubhouse was very good and I had the sour beer again. I would have given this place a higher rating, the only thing that bothered me was observing the chairs not being disinfected.

A late lunch stopped and we ordered the fish and chips and the fish tacos. Tartar Sauce was AMAZING and the Tacos were probably the best I ever had. Would definitely stop it.
