Service was poor. No one at the front area to welcome.. no one behind the bar. At some point a lady said a table for 2, I said yes and informed her that I had a reservation on an open table. She had no idea what that was. slow service, never asked for refills on soft drinks. Eating was pretty good, but portions were both extremely small. We ate at other tgifs and these were small portions in comparison. Time was at 6... View all feedback.
What Kyra Ziemann doesn't like about TGI FRIDAYS - Sugarland:
Great for mediocre food with a side order of apathetic service at an unreasonable price!! There's a reason why they're the lowest rated TGI Friday in Houston. The server handed be a plate with my hamburger half sliding off and she made no effort to warn me or apologize, my lettuce slid off and some of it touched the table. I cut it of and left it on the table. Fries were as fresh as stiff under a heat lamp can be. Ne... View all feedback.
This was our first time at Thea, but it won't be our last! Everything from the food to the service was top notch. The decor is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. I love that it's a BYOB. The rocket and beet salad was amazing and our starters were equally impressive.
Thea is a BYOB so be sure to bring a bottle or two! We made different starters and salads instead of making starters. We started with the brie berry salad and the flatbread du jour, a vegetable flatbread. Both were excellent! We then got the beet and rocket salad, the truffle and parmesan fries and the various crustini. These were excellent too, definitely get the parmesan truffle fries !!! We both preferred the beet salad over the brie salad. We then got the Brie Brulée for dessert. Absolutely amazing! A must!!!
Once again, Thea did not disappoint. The service was exceptional. The food is fresh and made with local healthy ingredients. I have recommended this to everyone I speak to and this experience was no exception. Fantastic.
The starters were excellent !!!!!!!!!! (Brie Brulee incredibly delicious !!!!!!!!!) The beet salad and garden salad were refreshingly cold, crispy, very tasty and an excellent bite. The appetizers? Not so much: crab and prawn noodles had juicy prawns, but the homemade rigatoni were NOT cooked ... like raw batter. The taziki sauce was UNDER everything on the gyro platter and difficult to access to spread over the pita / meat / greens combo and the meat was soft and crumbly, almost like poorly mixed meatloaf. The presentation of the top plate itself was eye-catching, but the arrangement made it difficult to assemble everything. The salmon was fantastic, as were the potatoes and beets, but the greens under it all were too tough and not tasty at all. The blueberry panna cotta was tasteless, but the mousse cake had a heavenly crust. Coffee was strong, tasty, had no bitterness. I would recommend Thea's for amazing starters and a great beet salad, but the starters left a lot to be desired.
Six of us went for a light dinner after a show. We shared starters which were all awesome! My brother had a salad (arugula, beets, beets, pistachios and crème fraiche) that he declared was the best he had ever eaten. Very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. The only thing missing was a glass of wine and a couple of beers ... it's BYO which we didn't realize.
