I had booked and was given a table inside but the flies drove me out and I was offered a table outside. Had baked oysters with garlic which was lovely and tasty and well presented. Then skate with samphire and new potatoes which was cooked... View all feedback.
The Sorrell Horse is in transition between owners. The menu is much reduced and there is a general sense of hand over. Young staff did brilliantly given obvious limitations and the menu that was available was generally excellent. Wish them all the best at the next stage. It is a comfortable welcoming environment that deserves to succeed
Fabulous welcome. Great beer and amazing food. Fish was beautifully cooked and salad was great in the side. It was more than enough to share.
Superb quality food and service in a lovely setting . All food was absolutely top drawer, especially my shellfish plate which was delicious and also HUGE. Others had mussels, baked Camembert and burgers. Very nicely done interior, great atmosphere and fantastic fish. Our favourite restaurant in the area. Nice wine list short but interesting.
Enjoyed a superb birthday lunch here including escargots, goat’s cheese salad, bœuf bourguignon, flan and tarte tatin. Excellent cremant de Loire and Bordeaux topped it all off! Highly recommended.
We recently enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Sorrel Horse with friends. It was a night full of delicious food, wonderful wine and great service! We are all seafood lovers (however to menu had something for everyone! so we enjoyed oysters and snails to start. Followed by sole, moules and fish pies. All cooked to perfection and washed down with a bottle of wonderful white Rioja!
