While the fish finger sandwiches and bacon rolls earned praise, other items like nachos and breakfast selections fell short, drawing criticism for being overpriced and lacking flavor. Guests appreciated the clean dining environment and dog-friendly atmosphere, especially with outdoor seating options. However, issues like dirty menus and high coffee prices have raised concerns about the restaurant prioritizing profit over quality. Overall, the ambiance is inviting, but diners may want to tread carefully with their menu choices.
First visit this year and not disappointed at a sunny day outside on the boulevard. bacon roll and coffee, very good. good points, clean table, sauce bottles top clean from product inside, that is good. bad point, unfortunately the menu with eating inside was dirty, it would have been so easy to encapsulate the menus in plastic, then they could be deleted after each use with sanitizer.
We were on a late morning visit and tied lunch so this was a first visit. when we had the dog with us, we sat outside, but in the covered area. at the bar and the staff very friendly ordered. my wife had beer battered fishing finger sandwich I had blt. both came with a little bite and crawling with a nasalate. my wife sandwich was excellent, but mine had a little brot. asked if they had salat dress or saw and was said no!? the fish fingers were big and she was very happy, but as I have a little disappointed with my blt especially at the price of good that we have in the position to have the dog with us, but overall can only say average and expensive for what they get.
My mother, my dog, and I received a wonderful warm welcome at this restaurant. We were seated in the cozy winter garden area and the staff were incredibly friendly and eager to chat. We both enjoyed a delicious plate of fish and chips that were cooked to perfection. The staff even brought out a sausage for my dog to enjoy. Despite the rough sea outside, the restaurant provided a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We even got to watch the sea spray through the boardwalk as we ate. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning on our next trip to Felixstowe. I have a feeling this restaurant will be very popular in the summer.
I visited this restaurant for the first time this year and was not disappointed. It was a sunny day and I enjoyed sitting outside on the boulevard. The bacon roll and coffee I ordered were very good. The tables were clean and the sauce bottles were also well-maintained. However, the only downside was that the card menu with the food options was dirty. It would have been a good idea to encase the menus in plastic so they could be easily wiped down with sanitizer after each use.
After our recent visit, we found that the coffee prices in the city are still the highest. While the coffee is good, there are no extras like biscuits or sweeteners available on the table, and the portion size is quite small. Compared to Nero's, the coffee here is significantly more expensive and not necessarily worth the cost. It seems like the owners are prioritizing profit over providing a quality experience. Due to these factors, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
