They have the best fried rice and shrimp fried rice! I traveled for an hour just to get some of their delicious dishes. My son said it was the best he's ever had. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shun Xing Chinese:
The soup was bland and tasteless, my mom even mentioned it had no flavor. The crab rangoons were not good either, tasting like a weird mixture of herbs and cream cheese. View all feedback.
We often order from this restaurant because we love the quality and value of their family meals. My favorite dishes are the crab Rangoon and fried wontons, which are always cooked perfectly when we order them. However, today our order of wontons was not up to standard. They were overcooked, making the wrapper too crispy and the pork inside taste heavy from being cooked too long. When I called to politely inform them of the issue and ask if I could return them the next day, as we live a bit far away, the woman who answered the phone interrupted me and told me that I should have specified how I wanted them cooked beforehand. This was never a problem in the past. There were no apologies or offers of a solution, and the call ended abruptly. I found this interaction to be rather rude and unsatisfactory.
The young lady at the counter may come off as a bit antisocial both over the phone and in person, but it didn't bother me at all. The food was on the expensive side due to the pandemic, costing $10 with tax for the combination plate I ordered (which included an egg roll). The entree was delicious, although the egg roll was small and looked overcooked or refried, it still tasted good (I devoured it before I could take a picture). The lady said my order would be ready in 10 minutes and when I arrived a bit later, it was still hot. Make sure to grab your own sauces, napkins, and utensils as they were not included in my bag. The selection of sodas was limited, and I'm not sure where they source them from, but there's a Food Lion nearby. I will definitely be adding this restaurant to my lunch/dinner options when I'm in the area.

This restaurant offers amazing American Chinese cuisine! The employees are pleasant, although they are often occupied, so interactions are brief. The dishes are consistently fresh and tasty, making it a top choice for times when you'd rather not cook (as opposed to ordering from a delivery service or big chain). Orders can be placed over the phone, and I usually pay when picking up my food.
