The restaurant is tucked away but worth seeking out. The staff are great and the food was good and to be expected for a high quality family fish and chip place. The Thai menu was excellent and the meals were varied and good portions. View all feedback.
What Glenda Schamberger doesn't like about Anka and Tonys Teklenburg:
I ordered the Pickerel to take out and was told it would be battered and deep fried, that should have been a clue. For $23+ I expected a decent meal, the only thing fresh was the lemon. The fish was dried up, I could have...found better in the freezer at the local grocery store and the fries were nothing special. Will not be going back. View all feedback.

The special! Clam chowder was more potato than anything and was akin to baby food. The fish was too small greasy breaded (very fishy smelling) squares with and not the usual filet and it was served with cold fries and mayonnaise instead of tarter sauce and approx. 1 ounce of shredded cabbage in a little bowl. I have been to this restaurant regularly over many years but I see that the good times are over though the staff are very pleasant despite what they have to serve. It has deteriorated quickly.
This location is under new Management and the new Management is really bad.
It was quite badI see this as being the Toronto equivalent of Jugo Juice in Montreal but the quality is much lower for the same price.
