Feedback
Came here on a public holiday so surcharge applied to the meal is completely understandable. However, the cafe was advertising specials of the day outside on their sign and inside on each table so we ordered them to save some money. After paying and waiting about 20 minutes, we asked staff and realised they hadn 't taken the order for one of our drinks and had charged us full price for the meals meant to be on special. We were simply told 'public holiday ' in response to querying about the standard pricing. On none of their collateral did it say the specials weren 't applicable on public holidays. Further to this, they came to us about 20 minutes after ordering to tell us they had run out of one of the meals, causing us to go back and order again. If I had selected a meal more expensive than what they initially charged I am sure they would have charged me the excess $2 (plus surcharge). When we mentioned the false advertising outside, they did very kindly add one of the drinks (that they missed upon initial ordering) free of charge. After all of the keffufle, the food was remarkably average, nothing notably amazing and upon our departure we were told to come back to try the specials on a standard day. Safe to say it 's definitely not a priority restaurant I 'll come back to or recommend.
Exceptional. This is the only cafe in Perth you need. The sign on the window reads, This centre is responsible for a refined preparation of breakfast, lunch, and sweets. We also respond to the thirst need. I wasn 't sure what to expect. Since I needed both refined food and my thirst responded to, it seemed like a straight forward choice. The food is bang on refined . Really, really good. I 've eaten in five and six star hotels and not enjoyed it this much. I recommend the Chai Latte with full breakfast (23). They are competing with the next door San Churro, so you 're likely to see some fabulous deals. Mondays coffee is 2.5 all day. On Wednesday you 'll get a free donut with your coffee. Otherwise, just add on a snack to a coffee for 2, or get a slice for 4 (the salted caramel slice looks delicious) . A bagel is 3 by itself, add peanut butter and jam for 1 more, or cream cheese with salmon for 5. Service was efficient, and all staff were going the extra mile. Really attentive. They wear cute aprons with a Korean influence (cross over buckled back straps) which made me feel like I was somewhere else. Love that! They 've updated the decor to be very simple. Some chairs and tables outside on the walk, and four of five tables inside, with the rest as bar stools. The bar stools are a bit precarious, not so comfortable. By the looks of previous reviews, they 've struggled a little with seating over the years. They aren 't working with the biggest space, so it 's not somewhere you 'd spend hours during peak hours, but the chairs and tables they have are totally functional for a short break.
