We enjoyed the tapas as good as you w... read more Despite the brutish moniker, the atmosphere felt a bit like a fusion of New Orleans French Quarter and a Madrid tapas bar. We enjoyed the tapas as good as you will find in the best tapas bars in Madrid: croquetas de pulpo (octopus fritters),...pulpo a la parrilla (grilled octopus), patatas bravas (pan roasted potatoes), oreja de cerdo (roasted pig's ear), a savory 1/2 chicken roasted with vegetables. For dessert we shared the infusion de frutos rojos con helado de yogurt (red fruits with yogurt ice cream). We started at the bar with drinks. Classic jazz filed the air as the place eventually became crowded. Our drinks (and tab) were moved to a table on the mezzanine where we had dinner. Overall the service was excellent and attentive. The food superb and the bartender eager to please. Decent wine selection to accompany dinner.

Had sparkling wine which is hideously expensive, and the one which was not soo expensive was not in stock... Food very tasy,...quite small portions. Recommended
