I had an incredible sirloin a la Bernaise ...cooked to perfection, the french desserts are some of the best I had. The decoration of the place is a little bit..too palatial to my liking but I guess that may be part of the charm.
The entrance is beautiful with a lovely hanging chandelier. Upon entering, you are greeted by a very gracious host. You really feel like you are in France. The furnishings, decor, paintings are beautiful. There us a showcase of scrumptious desserts, quiche, etc. Nice selection of...coffees. The hostess brought over a tray if fresh baked breads to choose from to take home. The all looked s good, we look three!
This place is absolutely gorgeous and the food is delicious! Even though the menus for dinner and lunch are great and the desserts are to die for, I love going there to have some paté and hot wine. I lived in France for 6 years...and I have never had better paté than at Jacques. They also have this beautiful private room which you can rent: the blue room and it's gorgeous for special occasions for a small group. Finally the waiters and Jacques are extra extra nice.

They were there over a dozen times before and after Kovid, not impressing them. I have eaten almost everything from the fillet mignon to the eggs Benidict, to the soups and sandwich are all very good. The problem is getting out there without buying a fortune that takes bread and desserts home. ;
