The food was... read more At the end of a long day my husband and I were not disappointed by this restaurant. The waitress was kind and helpful despite our limited Spanish. The food was cooked in plain site by two accomplished chefs. For the starter we had asparagus fish soup, for the main we had the line caught hake turbot, for dessert the baked cheesecake. A delicious and well balanced meal in traditional surroundings.

This was probably the most disappointing ever: extremely average food and twice the price you would pay in most places. It was a complete waste of an evening and as we told the lady who served us, who seemed embarrassed to hand over our bill, we will be returning to the excellent Gran Duque tomorrow. There are a lot of restaurants in the town and from our experience this is definitely one to avoid

The waiter of the bar can’t be more rude (if you have made the mistake of entering in this bar: I would recommend trying to avoid -short hair girl- . No tapas (opposed to what their big sign says . Due to the rudeness we decided not to eat there, but we saw that industrial side potatos and poor quality pizzas. Also, they try to add more things to the bill, so ask for a proper bill (not just a shout they give u with the cost and check before paying. Recommendation: there are really nice restaurants in Santillana del Mar, that offer homemade meals and where waiters are nice, avoid this one

Ordered batatas bravas with a local spicy sauce and got soggy French fries with cheap ketchup all over it. The food my partner ordered was equally bad. The staff was very rude and made fun of me trying to speak the little Spanish I know.
