We got in town and called to make a reservation and they said the first available was at 8:30. We thanked them and said that we would come again. Started looking for another place for dinner and about 15 minutes later Chives called back andsaid that they had a cancellation and could take us at 7:15. I call that above and beyond customer service. The meal did notdisappoint. We were told by locals that this was the place to go and wow, were they right. One word to describe thisplace?..amazing! And I have one word for you the reader of this review??GO!! You will love Chives!!

(I have a very po... read more Visited this place about a month ago. The service was fine and our server was nice. Honestly a fine clean place and it looks fancy for a date. (I have a very positive comment at the end) I think my only complaint is for all fancier restaurants with moreexpensive food, including this place; I feel the slightest upset that this place didn't have the food quality that I expect forwhat I am paying for. Like this place had food that was cooked fine with flavor that was just fine. But I chose this placebecause it seemed fancier and I see the food is more expensive but it just tastes like if I went to an outback steakhouse. Ifeel like higher prices mean better tasting food but it was just ok. I do not think I am exaggerating, this is my honestopinion. I think I might return one day and I am glad I visited. There was a venue right outside that has rock nights withdrinks, games, and live music. That was great and you should definitely go to see it.

So of course we had to try?and we?ll be back! Like RYE, they have nailed approachable fine dining. Comfortable dining room, excellentservice (our server was Michael ????????????, but the whole staff was very attentive and courteous), and the food was creativeand delicious! We enjoyed a few specials for the evening, along with the French Onion Soup!
