Was Edeltraut Geyer at Weinstube Schellenturm a mag?
I came here because of the unique vegetarian Spaetzle and it was great. You go up the narrow staircases and you are really in a little tower, so another special features. View all feedback.
What Hüseyin Jordan dislikes about Weinstube Schellenturm:
We had a reservation at pm and we ordered soon after, but the food arrived at pm, so we waited more that an hour, even though the restaurant wasn't very crowded. The stuff spoke English relatively good, on the other hand it wasn't...very pleasant. This will be forever known as the place where we discovered maultaschen! What a delicious swabian dish. We ate outside off in a corner where we could observe and enjoy our very fine dinner. The service was pleasant and informative; we appreciated that they worked...with our very limited German thank you! My husband (who found this place) and I would both recommend whole-heartedly.

I have been eating in Germany for many years and generally enjoy the food but find it quite heavy and plain. Schellenturn have taken this food and made it more attractive and flavoursome. The building is beautiful, the staff were super friendly and the ambience...just right. I’ll be back again, next time I’m in town.
We ate lunch here a group of on a Saturday afternoon. We would have preferred dinner but it was heavily booked for all the nights we were in stuttgart. The maitre d was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is in a...stunning very old circular building. It was decorated beautifully for the xmas season. The food is very typically local or swabian. We had the venison goulash which was delicous. The roast beef with roast potatoes which was tasty albeit a little over salted and pricey at The mushroom and hazelnut traditional pasta was delicous. The goats chheese starter and duck liver late were superb.. We had the local Riesling was delicous and very well priced for a glass. All in all I'd highly recommend this place. But book in advance!

You should definitely book here. The Schellenturm is a well-known, petty-bourgeois Swabian restaurant that is not very good. A visit is always worthwhile.
Very good Swabian cuisine ensures that the Schellenturm is always fully booked, so I did not get a table for 3 people 1 week before my birthday. I can only advise you to book early! The landscape is great, and the food is great, try it out!
In the Schellenturm there are tasty Swabian dishes. I've been in there for a while. At that time the service was very good and the service was friendly. I think this is still the case today.
In the heart of Stuttgart, in the historic bean district you will find this upscale restaurant in the Schellenturm. There is room for 65 guests on 2 floors. Very tasty main dishes and menus, excellent wines and very beautiful rustic ambience make it the starting point for special occasions. The bids for food and drinks and the special well-maintained ambience fully justify the higher price. The bean district was built in the 15th century. Century was the first residential district in front of the city wall and the Schellenturm was prison. The prisoners were attached with chain clamps. Today a neighborhood with small cafes, toast shops, wine bars and artists. When visiting Stuttgart, you should visit this neighborhood.
A beautiful place to be friends to show a different restorative, because it is located in a tower. You can get very good wine there and also the food tastes excellent. The Swabian cuisine makes everything right and the rustic ambience creates a beautiful cozy atmosphere.

Excellent. Fun, beautiful, historical atmosphere in an old wall tower. Traditional Sabic specialties, well prepared, for a fair price. Make sure to taste a high-quality local wine. Service was good. Be prepared for narrow stairs. Not far from the center of Stuttgart in cozy former rural district. Consider the reservation.
Really good German food, went on a Friday night, no reservations, they got us a table for 2 immediately, but we were told we could only have 1 hour the table, the pork cakes in red wine were extremely good.
Loves the outdoor area especially during summer time, nice food and great service
Beautiful food, special atmosphere and people there work very polite
Great atmosphere. The old watch tower has been converted into a spiral restaurant. The staff are very friendly and meal well prepared. While a little more costly than I expected, it was worth the dining experience.

Zero stars Worst service ever. I ordered wine, water and a roast pork dish. First she forgot the water and I had to remind her. No apology. Then they brought me the wrong dish. Veal schnitzel. Again no apology and she sighed and asked if I would just eat it. I said fine because I was starving. One bite and I knew it was veal and not pork. I had to wait fifteen minutes for her to appear again so I could explain I don't eat veal. She sighed and asked what I wanted. What I wanted was what I ordered in the first place! I got it and ate it and it was fine. She cleared my plate but ran away before I could ask for the check. She disappeared for twenty minutes and I had to ask her colleague for the check. She came ten minutes later and slammed it on my table and tried to run away again but I told her I could pay immediately and gave her money and waited for my change. My change came back short. They charged me for the schnitzel which was more expensive. At this point I'd been there two and a half hours so I went inside and said there was a problem with my check. She snapped that I should sit down and she would come in a minute. I told her I couldn't wait any longer. She sighed and I explained the bill was wrong. She said her boss said to charge me for the veal. I said but it was her mistake and my dish was cheaper, why should I pay more? Before I could finish she sighed and threw five euro coins at me. I took them and walked out. I can't believe this place is in the lonely planet guide. Never, ever go there!!
