Contribute Feedback What Eugenie Sauter likes about Prince Of India:
It was a rainy November day in Stuttgart, when we joined the Prince of India for a Sunday lunch. The atmosphere is boring, because they use the wooden equipment of the former German restaurant. The food was a nice surprise. Not India, but...a good little impression of India in Stuttgart. The spices were reduced for German taste and the fruit juices were canned. The Kingfisher beer is brewed by license in Bamberg/Germ... View all feedback.
What Otmar Bock doesn't like about Prince Of India:
Ich muss leider von dem Restaurant abraten, aufgrund der Qualität des Essens. Bislang habe ich noch nie so schlecht indisch gegessen wie dort. Wir waren zu acht, das Essen war nur scharf, wenige Kräuter und Gewürze und das Fleisch von sichtbar schlechter Qualität. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen.Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Good food, taste good. Service is not the best. Prices are very high. 16,90 euro is much money.
While the food does not taste awful, it is very, very far from authentic (and I had a fair deal of meals in India! . Furthermore, also the predicate 'Indian ' to the beer and wine is questionable. Worst of all, however, was the rude service. Never again!
BAD service. We literally had to find a waiter to get seated at our reserved table. We were not asked (as they do at their main restaurant in Mannheim) how spicey we 'd like our food which resulted in dishes to be sweetish that were marked as hot on the menu. Considering service and quality of the food I think this place is overpriced with main dishes between 13 and 17€.
Nice, but. the prices are huge, euro for a huhn makhani and rice! the meal was nice enough, but the naan brot in Germany is flat what it is about? curry was watery, not much looked, but freshly cooked and hot served! probably would try...where else if I was back in stuttgart.
I happened to stumble through this restaurant when I visited my family. the service was really good and owner was very attentive to our needs. the food was very tasty that included a series of dressed like huh curry, dhal and saag. I can honestly say that it was good quality and reasonable price. I will visit this restaurant again when I visit next Germany.
