View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Naturfreundehaus Vaihingen:
I never knew this place was here except a group of us gathered here one night. It has a large enough dining area for a large group. As you preorder, it saves the effort to wait for a waiter, but... You should have an idea of what you want to eat, especially as the staff only spoke English and has to keep track of your number. I ordered the tripe soup that was pretty good and a beer. We were in this restaurant several times, and frankly we never had a bad meal. The food always comes hot, delicious and I like the little salad bar. Besides, the beer always meets the spot. For tonight's dinner we both had the Cordon blue.... It was delicious, and the pommes were crispy and beautifully salted. An additional plus sat on the covered veranda that added beautiful shades during the hot day. All in all, a great place to share a meal. Even if you live in Vaihingen near Patch Barracks, it is a nice walk to the restaurant. We recommend you to try. We will definitely be back.

What's not to love about this place! Typical rustic style German decor, the food is great (and priced ok, too) and the beers are cold and ever-flowing. Service is TOPS! Great time there!!
While stationed in Germany, my wife and I discovered this little gem of a restaurant just outside the gates of Patch Barracks. We were on a walk in the woods, and happened across this restaurant in the middle of the gardens! We went inside, and...found a clean little restaurant with a beautiful wooden porch, and cafeteria style trays. We ordered, and found the food to be out of this world such rich flavors, and everyone in the restaurant smiled and greeted us as we were seated. Of course, no traditional German meal would be complete without a glass of beer, so we dined and had an absolutely wonderful time. A few years ago, we returned and the experience was just as good as the first time I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough simple food, low prices, great beer, excellent view. Prosit!
No extraordinary food. Nix Special! The asparagus soup was unusable, only carved with pommes. The salad buffet was not so much apettilich. The host is a very vocabulary person, quite strange. Behind the house is a quiet, sunny terrace. Many puppies unfortunately. For children there is a playground, play equipment and table tennis. (But you have to bring your own bat and ball) The location in the middle of the forest is great. After a walk on a coffee I can recommend.
