I love finding unique places like these. Local place where Dad is the Chef, Mom and Son are the servers. Exceedingly friendly "whatever you want - no problemo!" Food was served fast and fresh. Although the menu was in German, the son speaks good English that he can interpret for you...or just make the dish as you want it. Wonderful wine list and excellent beer choices. Prices are very reasonable. Really worth your effort to eat here!
We both ordered salads and were not disappointed. They were well done and tasted very good. The place was clean and the servers were friendly
We eat here all the time when the day is long and we just want to go out. The family is gracious and welcoming and always greets us with a smile. Our favorites are the Gorgonzola steak and so many of their wonderful freshly prepared pastas. Their pizza is great too! Enjoy
I've eaten here twice (9 months apart). I love the dining room--it's a pleasant place to be. The owner/wait-staff are not, particularly, friendly in the American sense, but they are not rude either. If you attempt to speak German it will go a long way. There is no English menu so load a translation app before you go. Even with the app, there are some very specific food terms on the menu that you probably won't be able to translate. When all else fails get the special. The last time I was there they had several fish specials as well as a pasta (they are written on a chalk board on the back wall of the dining room). The wine list isn't particularly large (the owner gave it to me verbally), but there are some solid choices. I started, as is my way, with a Campari and soda. Then had the homemade ravioli (cooked al dente) paired with nice red wine (Nero D'avola). If you are in Moehringen, I would definitely recommend a nice walk to Il Terrazzino for dinner.
