Outstanding schnitzels of titanic proportions, combined with excellent service, a friendly and very involved owner, and a cozy atmosphere. With portions as generous as these, you're guaranteed lunch the next day, which doesn't mean you'd want to eat it all in one go. However, my companion and I have always failed to do so. They kindly offer takeaway boxes.
Great place to eat a snitzel in Stuttgart! Enormous portions, delicious salad, here you can find the local beer Dinkelacker. The atmosphere is cozy, great service and good prices. We tried to make a reservation via phone or email, but eventually we went to the place and made the reservation there for another day because they were fully booked. They only accept cash, you can't use a credit card to pay. Highly recommend this place!

Reserve a table to avoid disappointment, they may be busy occasionally but specifically at weekends. My sis is vegetarian and also liked her meal here, plenty of several vegetarian choices too. I came here with my sis and we both thought the food was excellent and the personnel were great. Really like this place, not too expensive. Waitress understood the menu inside and out, seriously fulfilled.
Best schnitzel I've had and it is huge, easily the size of 2 dinner plates. Tasty potato salad as you'd expect in Germany and the local beer was pretty good.
PRO: Everything is absolutely delicious and freshly made! CON: They only take reservations and you cannot simply walk in. I wish this was posted on TripAdviser or Yelp. I didn’t know this, but luckily the staff was kind enough to seat me in between reservations. Other people were turned away because they did not know this either.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful even though I spoke very little German. I ordered the schnitzel and it was huge! That definitely did not take away from the taste at all, the food was delicious. This place is a gem and I would recommend to anyone. Well when the food came out it was phenomenal for both of us.

This hidden gem (never would have found it if it wasn’t for TripAdvisor). We were greeted by a friendly host, she was warm and knew some enough English to get us by! She suggested some drinks and talked us through the menu. I asked for a Schnitzel and my husband who is a vegetarian was offered a pasta without the ham (there wasn’t too much choice except multiple forms of potato for him, but I knew this going in) Well when the food came out it was phenomenal for both of us. Each of us got a side ‘salad’ that was a small meal in itself and the Schnitzel was absolutely huge!!! See the pictures! It was the tastiest meal we both had in a long time. Definitely give it a go if you are in the area or a short 5km commute from Stuttgart. Lovely people, traditional amazing food and great drinks at a cheap price.
It's a nice treat when restaurant service is friendly and intelligent. In a cozy, authentic German pub it means your experience will be richer, recommendations more sincere and no rush to turn over the table. The wife had schnitzel and it was everything advertised...and that's saying a lot. Their potato salad is the best I've had in nearly six decades, and I loathe potato salad. Beware the portions or be ready to doggy bag much of your meal. Oh, that symphony of pounding your hear from the kitchen is the excellent (and friendly) chef preparing the veal to taste like no other. And a shout out to Cocoa Beach!
I went to Gaststatte Post based on the recommendations I read here on Trip Advisor and it might have been the best thing I did in Stuttgart. It's no exaggeration to say there's no chance you'll leave hungry or dissatisfied. And you will compare all other schnitzels to the absolutely phenomenal schnitzel they serve there. One word: amazing. And the restaurant and bar itself are cozy, charming and welcoming with a staff that could not be more friendly and helpful. Go there. You won't be sorry.
If you like schnitzels, this is the place to go. Went there with my son who ordered the “regular” schnitzel which was probably the biggest we have ever seen. I had the cordon blue, filled with ham and cheese. Let’s just say we could roll out of there. Food was very good. Prices were modest and service just fine.

Simply super, the operation super 10 out of 10 stars. I can only recommend it to everyone. So get out of the feathers and eat with the whole family. Carefully one serving is as large as 2 to 3 people. But super horny.
From our point of view a meeting is completely recommended. The inn is great to reach! The good transport connection makes a visit possible. Not only was the attentive staff the total racer, but also the unique flair. I was really happy with my sister to finally find a place in our surroundings, which we can afford at the end of the month without any doubt.
Huge, thin carving super delicious. The self-made potato salad is also the hammer! Chef and staff are super nice and attentive. When picking up, if possible bring your own bowls.
A great little restaurant with beer garden. Very nice operation. The food is really highly recommended, but mega large portions. So you can't make it empty. What I find very nice, they bring containers, and you take the rest. Shade only, no parking nearby
