The WOK snack bar in Stutensee is located in the Spöck district and is located in the parking lot of the local Edeka supermarket. It's certainly not a beautiful sight from the outside, but that's not necessarily a bad sign. Service: Orders are taken at the counter. Since we ate in, the dishes we ordered were brought to our tables. Drinks could be taken directly from the refrigerator. Ordering was unspectacular and straightforward. The food arrived quickly at the table. Everything was as expected for a snack bar. 3/5 Food: First things first: I really enjoyed the food. My duck in yellow curry with vegetables and rice was good. What I noticed was that the sauce was quite jelly like. It's possible that the agar agar was used a bit too generously. I personally would have preferred a thinner sauce. But, as I said, the taste was still excellent. The ingredients were all fresh. According to the menu, the curry should have been slightly spicy. It wasn't at all. 3/5 Value for money: The prices were barely lower than those of an average Asian restaurant. Not too high, but definitely not too cheap for me either. You don't really pay for the ambiance and service here, so it's still okay. 3/5 Conclusion: If you're passing through and want to get your fill without having to wait long, you can't go wrong here. In my opinion, however, there are – unsurprisingly – better places to eat. All in all, it serves its purpose. 3/5
From favorite snack bar to disaster! This stir-fry used to be really good – delicious food, quick preparation, authentic taste. But something fundamental has changed. I have no idea what happened, but the food is now simply inedible. • Kong Poo dish: The sauce was jelly-like and completely tasteless. There was hardly any vegetables, and the meat content was minimal – an unbalanced and unloving dish. • Bami Goreng €9): A small portion of sticky noodles with just four tiny shrimp. It was barely enough for two children. • Odor Hygiene: Upon picking up the food, my clothes immediately smelled of the snack bar – apparently, the ventilation wasn't working properly. !!!!Especially shocking!!!: I saw the cook simply put dropped vegetables back with the cut vegetables without cleaning or disposing of them. • Health consequences: The next day, my wife and I had stomach aches and diarrhea – a clear warning sign. Conclusion: It's sad to see how a once-good diner has declined so drastically. Save your money and look for a place that cooks with love and respect for Asian cuisine.
