**Exploring the BBQ Scene: A Mixed Bag at Soon BBQ**
Soon BBQ has garnered a spectrum of experiences, reflecting both exceptional moments and significant letdowns. While some patrons praise the tender smoked meats, flavorful sauces, and generous portions—particularly the mashed potatoes and brisket—others express frustration over dry ribs and bland dishes that fail to capture the essence of barbecue. Customer service shines brightly, with staff demonstrating attentiveness and accommodating dietary needs. For those seeking gluten-friendly options, the restaurant impresses with a thoughtful menu. Despite uneven culinary execution, Soon BBQ remains a promising destination for diners looking for hearty comfort food in a welcoming setting.

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food had no BBQ flavor whatsoever, and the green beans tasted like they came straight from a can. The ribs were terrible—dry and lacking any BBQ taste. Overall, it felt like a complete waste of money. I won't be returning!
Sooners BBQ catered my rehearsal dinner, and since we are from out of town, I relied on Google reviews to make my choice. They truly exceeded my expectations! From our initial contact months ago to the day of the event, everything went flawlessly. The food was amazing, and the mashed potatoes were simply outstanding—definitely a highlight. The portions were generous as well. I highly recommend them! Thank you, Sooners BBQ, for making my dinner perfect.
I grew up in Texas and have been on the lookout for authentic Texas-style barbecue in this area. In Texas, barbecue is all about beef, not pork. When we arrived at Sooner Barbecue, we were immediately struck by the impressive smoking setup in the parking lot. The staff were incredibly friendly. I tried the brisket, and I can honestly say it’s the best I’ve had around here! It was tender and packed with smoky flavor. I’ve finally found my barbecue home—there’s no need to go anywhere else!
A few months ago, I took my 4-year-old daughter and her friend out for Saturday afternoon tea, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was quite elegant, so I suggest dressing up in your Sunday best or even wearing princess dresses! There was an abundance of delicious food to savor.
We were camping nearby and noticed this restaurant from the road, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered the smoked chicken, green beans, and coleslaw, while my husband had the ribs, pulled pork, baked beans, and coleslaw. Everything was absolutely delicious! The meat was incredibly tender. The staff was friendly and clearly hard-working. We will definitely be back! They even went the extra mile and pulled my chicken for me, even though it wasn't usually served that way. Both the restaurant and the restrooms were very clean.
