Contribute FeedbackThe Saffron restaurant has received a mix of reviews recently. Some loyal customers were disappointed with missing items in their takeout order, bland food, and slow service. Others had negative experiences with delayed delivery and incorrect orders. However, there were also positive reviews praising the delicious food, excellent service, and charming atmosphere of the restaurant. While some customers may be considering looking for a new Indian restaurant, others highly recommend The Saffron for its quality dishes, reasonable prices, and welcoming staff.
I cannot praise this restaurant enough. The food is the best I have ever tasted, and the service was excellent - very polite and prompt. The restaurant itself is beautiful, housed in a quirky building with charming character. I don't understand why some people have left negative comments, as I could not find anything bad about this place. I highly recommend it.
This restaurant is definitely worth seeking out and dining at. The food is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. They also offer takeaway options.
We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for many years, but now feel the need to share our recent experience. We placed an order online and picked it up at the scheduled time, only to discover that it was incomplete - missing Naan bread and extra rice instead. After calling to inform them, it took too long for the missing items to be delivered, causing our food to grow cold. Furthermore, the tawa chicken we ordered was supposed to have a bit of heat from peppers and green chillies, but it was bland and lacked any spice. The sag aloo was also overly salty. This is disappointing and regrettable, as we have always enjoyed our meals here. Unfortunately, it seems we may need to start looking for a new Indian restaurant.
We have been getting takeaway from Saffron for as long as it’s been open but over the last few months the food has significantly deteriorated so much so the same dishes we’ve been having for years are now unrecognisable. Last night was the final straw,...order takeaway to collect, had to wait an additional on top of the mins indicated when ordering. Finally got it home to find one of the mains was missing, returned to the restaurant, no apology and was then presented with a dish that when we got it home again bore no resemblance of the meal ordered. This has unfortunately become a common occurrence so we’ll be steering clear. Which is very sad.
Visited here for the first time in a couple of years and the venue was busy, the resteraunt is quite small but a nice atmosphere exists. The food was good quality and a nice selection of various dishes were available and prices are reasonable. The...venue being an old converted barn has character and charm. On average about six pieces of chicken per dish but we ordered three main dishes, a rice, and had popadom and pickles to start , meal was about pounds with soft drinks so good value A nice functional Indian with charm
