We had a rather disappointing day in Stroud, but a short drive away and we found the Halfway Cafe for lunch. We are a 3 generational family, myself, my daughter and 2 small grandchildren. We ordered bacon, brie and cranberry paninis, and drinks. Our 4 year old and 1 year old grandchildren were given drinks and snacks and allowed to amuse themselves with toys. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The cakes looked fantastic, but we didn't have space. Maybe next time. We will be back, even though its an hour from home.
