Excellent food at a reasonable price. Their eggplant is excellent but there are all kinds of curries, noodle dishes and fine appetizers too. Green onion cakes were below par. For a strip mall eatery, it's a surprisingly lovely dining room.
We previously ate at this restaurant last year while on evacuation from the Fort McMurray fire, and fell in love with it from the first day we went in. In fact, it became our main staple and we feasted there almost daily for a month. Fast forward to today, and we were too tired to go out there this evening, and so we got set for curry, and ordered the Yellow (Shrimp) and Red (Chicken) curry dishes. We might as well have ordered simple mixed vegetable dishes, as they were incredibly stingy with the chicken in particular.Perhaps the moral here is that you're better off eating IN the restaurant, and not ordering. I definitely didn't feel we got our money's worth.
Seems like they have two different chefs. Some days the food is amazing and others it's blah. Most of the time we order red curry, green curry and singapore noodles, usually good. Spring rolls are tiny and expensive but the rest of the dishes are a decent portion and the prices are good.
I ordered Padthai, Kaprao and mango sticky rice. Padthai tastes good, Kaprao is bland, mango sticky rice was terrible. Amount of meat in food wasn't worth the price. Mango sticky rice came in small cup and was not what you normally get in Thailand. Sticky rice was like a chunk of dough and wet. Mango was sliced into very small pieces and instead of no coconut cream, they use sweet sauce.
