The ice cream is one of the best ice creams in Stratford. It's so delicious and it's only $1 for a cone.

The best tourist spot in the city; great boating fun, sight seeing with warm friendly Owners and staff to help with the boats and serving fantastic barbecued food. Started by Frank's Herr's dad, Ed Herr, the boat house has been part of the Herr family for over 50 years. I have been going to Stratford in the summers since I was a kid and this boat house has always been a part of my families agenda. Every time I'm in the city, stopping at the Avon boat house is must. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED; you will love it.
The Boathouse in Stratford is a hidden gem with amazing food, service, and atmosphere overlooking the Avon River. It is a must-visit spot in the city. Frank and Debbie Herr, along with their daughter Melissa, are excellent hosts. I highly recommend trying the Johnny Canuck Chicken burger - it's delicious! - Joanne Brown and granddaughter Madisyn Kelly.
