We visited the Royal Oak on Thursday and had a table booked for 4:30. When we arrived, we were shown to our table by a very friendly and efficient server. Our drinks arrived quickly after ordering. I ordered the cod and chips, my wife had the lamb roast, and my son had the pasta of the day which was spaghetti. The fish was cooked perfectly, moist throughout, and came with plenty of chips. Just stopped for a quick lunch after visiting the Purity brewery. Got a very warm welcome and the food was really tasty. We had a curry, tomato soup and a baguette and they certainly hit the spot!
Omg what can I say about the pub the Royal Oak! Suberb crack, food drink staff bang on lovely atmosphere some pubs you walk into there a tad cold, this one nice cosy! Landlady landlord absolutely brilliant really recommended

Newly taken over by a lovely couple, disco on a Friday and Saturday. Large car park at the rear, with outside tables. Starting a food menu this week. Give it a go
