Empty on a Sunday night, but pleasant and pleasant for it. it is mainly a place for drinks with a short menu, but the very friendly barkeeper offered to let us eat from the main restaurant above. no idea if it's normal. or because it was so quiet. good and unusual menu that included the candy and calf liver plus the usual standards. the pub has the complete stortebecker production in bottles and is a good place to taste the sortiment.
The pub is located in the cellar of the hotel which we visited in the evening. it is certainly very cozy when more visitors are there. at the time of our stay (18 o'clock) we were the only guests.
Fantastic personnel and a great atmosphere! Old but fresh interior, overall very cosy. For the sport interested, they were showing football when there was a game on.
Located close to the main square and just a few feet away from the marker for the 1809 death of Prussian rebel Major von Schill on the street, the stairs down from the street to this basement pub may draw your attention with a speaker...playing the sounds of a soccer/football match playing on the inside TVs. The food was good, lots of drinks to choose from, and such an incredible looking wooden interior. We thought the portions were huge two of us weren't starving so without knowing the portion size we asked to split a single order of the schnitzel. What we each received was large enough to have split again and still feel full. The food was good and we would eat there again. The beer selection was fine, lots of other drinks besides beer such as a variety of coffee and wine and spirits. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service staff was friendly and helpful.
