This may not be immediately apparent from their website, but this establishment is essentially a counter in a gas station run by a high school dropout. Even with modest expectations, the quality of the food was disappointing. The pizza tasted like something heated in a toy oven, reminiscent of cafeteria fare. The sandwiches were off-putting; they were barely filled with cold cuts and cheese, making them overpriced for what they offered. The chef appeared completely unremarkable, got our order half wrong, didn’t seem to know the contents of the sandwiches, and even admitted he wasn't skilled at making them. He doesn’t make pizzas either. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could give this place more than one star. It’s best to stop by only to refuel your tank and leave as quickly as possible.

I waited 40 minutes while two employees slowly prepared five sandwiches for my family and one pizza. Each of the sandwiches came with missing ingredients—like no cheese or sauce on the chicken and significantly less than half the usual amount of meat. The pizza was even worse; it tasted like cheap, frozen microwave pizza. I've been a loyal patron of Amato's for 30 years and have given them hundreds of five-star ratings, but this gas station location is far below their usual standards. Overall, I do not recommend ordering from here, especially with several other sandwich shops nearby.
This may not be immediately apparent when you check their website, but this is a counter within a gas station run by a high school dropout. Even with our expectations now significantly lowered, the food was terrible. The pizza was cafeteria food heated in a toy pizza oven. The sandwich bread was disgusting. Too bad, because the sandwiches were only minimally filled with cold cuts and cheese, meaning they 're grossly overpriced. The cook looked completely clueless, got the order half wrong, didn 't know what 's in the sandwiches he 's making, and admitted himself that he 's bad at making sandwiches. He 's not good at making pizzas either. Stop to fill up your tank if you must but leave as fast as you can.
Stopped in here for an Italian sub sandwich and was surprised to find it so tasty and satisfying. We wanted something a bit lighter than we'd been eating and it was the perfect choice.
