What User doesn't like about Tsitsikamma Cattle Baron:
I ordered various seafood dishes, and unfortunately, I was disappointed. The shrimp had a muddy taste, the mussels had a strange flavor, and the sauce was subpar. I've dined at another restaurant, Viehbaron, and the food there was much better. Overall, I would rate the food 2/5, the service 3/5, and the atmosphere 1/5. View all feedback.
Disappointing!!!Going to Cattle Baron we expected good quality food! We were utterly disappointed! The food was stale, uncooked, old and the drinks were warm and just plain disgusting!
Unbelievable bad service.Only about 18 clients in restaurant but waiters not interested in helping customers.Have to stand up numerous times to search for waiters to ask for service. We booked for lunch for tomorrow but decided to drive out of reserve to find another restarant. Not value for money.Avoid at all cost.
Exceptional Performance at an International Standard! That’s the best way to put it! We ordered the fillet pepper steak, chicken schnitzel, and a salad, and each dish was absolutely delightful. The view was stunning, and the staff was incredibly friendly! The waiter even went to a nearby shop to buy me ginger beer since it wasn’t on the drink menu. I truly appreciated that gesture! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a wonderful experience!
The Cattle Barron is located within the Tsitsikamma reserve, making it a convenient spot for a quick and easy meal if you're camping or staying in one of the nearby chalets. Although the original restaurant was lost to a fire, the current temporary building is still quite pleasant, offering beautiful views and an outdoor seating area. The prices for the food are reasonable as well. Just be sure to check the closing time if you're coming in late from Cape Town in the evening!
