Harbor Cafe - Stonington

The Haddock is fresh and amazing, the chowder is first rate, and for a treat you can get up early in the morning and listen to the locals gossip while you have breakfast. Plenty of street parking.

The food was quite tasty, but the service left much to be desired. It felt as though the staff were disinterested in attending to us. I understand that it might have been after a busy lunch rush, but given the restaurant's small size, it shouldn't be too difficult to provide good service even during peak times. Our order took a long time to arrive. We each ordered the lobster salad, which was priced at $14.99, plus an additional $14 for the lobster pieces. While I would have been fine with the cost if the portion had been generous, it turned out to be about the size of a side salad with minimal lobster included. With three of us ordering the salads, the total came to over $86, which felt excessive for what we received.

We had lunch at this restaurant and the food was outstanding. We shared a dish of seared scallops and a bowl of smoked haddock and clam chowder, both of which were excellent. We loved the chowder so much that we even ordered an extra bowl to take home. It was absolutely delicious! Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Lunch
